Hey there!
how's it goin out there??? I'm really feeling great today... no school ;-)
well, exams start on Monday here so I'm actually doing some schoolstuff on my long weekend too, but not toooooooo much.
Tomorrow we'll go to Steinbach to visit my big brother Danny and his family and I'll see my big brother Jeff again, too! Well, he's at Bible College in Steinbach and I haven't seen him for a loooooong time...he told me I should bring my snowboard and we're gonna have some fun ;-) I can hardly wait. Snowboarding in the middle of the Prairies is kinda crazy, eh? But what do you do when you're addicted to something? ;-)
Last week I wrote a blog about ...whatever, can't remember, and at the end I said- "are all girls supposed to like shopping??? cause I sure don't!" Well, I went shopping today again. It was the best shopping day for me since about 2 years (well, mayebe only 1...sure feels like more!).
Last week I was looking for pants...I don't like Jeans. I think they're too tight (girls Jeans are just crazy...takes me an hour to get in there...and I'm not fat or anything...it just takes forever....) , Jeans are not comfy at all (because they're too tight ;-) and when they get wet from rain or snow they take forever to dry. And they feel disgusting if they get wet. And...oh I could make the list waaaaay longer ;-) If you like Jeans-Ok, wear them, but I won't.
So I looked for other pants than Jeans...that IS a problem in the Mall in Brandon! I was looking for, I don't know what you call them, like brown or dark green pants with pockets on the side and not tight... track pants? is that what you call them? Yeah well. End of the story: I couldn't find any. So I ended up buying Jeans. Because I REALLY needed new pants. I had one pair of pants before. JUST ONE. and they are falling apart because I wear them so much! ;-) yeah, that's what I do. I'm crazy.
I bought Jeans. They are actually pretty cool...But it's just not really my style so I don't feel toooooo great wearing them. But I have two pair of pants now!
Well, I went shopping again today. I bought my own skates! That's why I went to Brandon. Just to buy skates (and I did! Oh yeah. I love skating. I'm just not good because I never did it a lot. But, hey, I'm in Canada now, so I guess I have to ;-) haha) Bought my skates and then ended up in the mall again, like last week. I didn't need anything, bought my pants last week...maybe I could use a sweater. what happened? -
I bought two pair of pants and a sweater. HELLO???? TWO pair of nice nice non-jeans and a black sweater saying " I love Hockey Players" ;-) Isn't that just great? I'm so happy. I changed from one pair of pants into the other about 5 times since I came home. I'm excited. Buying pants makes me excited? I guess so.
Just thought that's cxrazy and I should publish that on the Internet for the whole world to read.
just kidding. I'm happy. Steinbach tomorrow. HAPPY WEEKEND
love ya all

Hey Juli!
Wow, that sounds like a pretty nifty day for sure for sure :) I am so glad for you that you get to go to steinbach to visit your bro and snowboard and all the rest, that sounds great!
I think we must be alike in our shopping moods... i only like shopping if:
1) i am with my good friends and we are in a kinda hyper mood and just walk around and talk alot and have fun
OR
2)it is very productive and i end up buying lots of cool stuff and that makes me happy :)
lol so ya.
and skates.... well have fun skating! oh man i have lived in Canada my whole life, and i have skated ever since i was really little and had kiddie skates and my best friend just down my street had a rink in her backyard and everything... and i have never liked it. i am a horrible skater its true, and my feet always get cold and cramped and tired.... lol i must not be a true canadian. thats my skating story.
and you bought a sweater that says "i love hockey players"?? then you really are a true canadian!!! i am impressed :)
well i think i have talked enough now... oh but i didn't comment on your last post but i did read it, and i am SO glad that you are reading your bible... even if you don't start at the beginning, and even if you get distracted, and even if you get side-tracked, it is amazing. :) yay! i completely understand about having another good good book to read and it is hard sometimes to choose to read the bible, i have the same sorta problem sometimes... but choosing to read the bible is always a good choice :D
hi shop girl ;-)
wahts up? i had to smile when i read your last blog. it is just so you to wait til you only have one pair of pants to wear, which also are about to fall apart. hahaha... i think we already had that ;-)
since you're talking about pants i'm gonna tell a little story , too. so here it goes:
i have some issues with my pants, too. well i don't but apparently other people do.i have htis pair of jeans that have pretty big holes in the back. but they're not on my ass or anything they're ripped on the upper part on my leg but i repeat definitely not on my ass.
before i go on i have to tell you that the teachers and the staff are very liberal regarding the dress code. you'd basically have to be naked to make them think you're violating the dress code.so naturally there are a ton of girls(or should i say "chicks", cuz that would describe them better)who think they have to challenge the dress code and look like prostitutes. i mean they literally have a hooker outfit. their skirts have more resemblance with a belt than with a normal piece of clothing that is supposed to cover!!! your legs and i'm not even starting about their tops this topic would take up some paragraphs...
well, anyways to continue with my jeans story: so i'm wearing these kinda ripped pants to school thinking that this is really not bad or provokativ inn any way and what happens? yes, i get like ten "look at those ripped pants" in one day! okay, i thought, i got the message, people.maybe i have some weirdo european way to think about what to wear. so the next morning i was really indecisive what to wear. i really wanted to wear those jeans because they're my favorites. then i got, what i thought, great idea. i can wear tights underneath them. maybe that'll look not so provokativ to people, cuz i definitely don't wanna come slutty. that is not my attitude whatsoever(i love that word).guess what? it's still to big a hole for some people. but i don't care.let them think what they want. i'm wearing dark grey tights. that is not! provocativ. at least not in the hippie, liberal, punk bay area...
so that was my contribution to your blog. i hope you didn't think it was absolutely useless and silly cuz i think it was...;-)
see soon,hopefully...
